The Most Spectacular Views on the Iberian Peninsula

Suspended high above the Rock of Gibraltar, Windsor Bridge offers some of the most spectacular and dramatic views on the entire Iberian Peninsula. This striking pedestrian bridge connects two peaks of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and on a clear day you can see across the Strait of Gibraltar all the way to the African coastline.

A must-visit for photography lovers and thrill-seekers alike, Windsor Bridge is also home to Gibraltar’s famous wild Barbary Macaques β€” Europe’s only free-roaming primates β€” who often gather at the bridge to delight visitors.

With Rock & Monkey Tours, you’ll experience the bridge as part of a fully guided private tour of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, with expert commentary and all the best viewpoints included.

Windsor Bridge Gibraltar: History & Significance

The Upper Rock Nature Reserve covers over 40% of Gibraltar’s total land area and is home to a rich variety of flora, fauna and historical landmarks. Windsor Bridge was constructed in 2014 to provide a dramatic and accessible connection between two of the Reserve’s highest peaks.

Standing on the bridge, you’re suspended at 340 metres above sea level β€” high enough to watch birds of prey circling below, and clear enough on a good day to pick out the outline of the Moroccan coast just 14 kilometres away. The bridge has quickly become one of Gibraltar’s most photographed locations.
