Skywalk Gibraltar is one of the most impressive viewpoints on the Rock of Gibraltar. Located at the very top of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, the Gibraltar Skywalk offers breathtaking panoramic views across the Strait of Gibraltar, Spain and even the mountains of Morocco in North Africa on clear days.
This modern glass platform allows visitors to stand high above the cliffs while enjoying one of the most spectacular sights in Gibraltar. Opened in 2018 and inaugurated by actor Mark Hamill, the Skywalk has quickly become one of the Rock's most iconic stops.
The Skywalk is also home to Gibraltar's famous Barbary Macaques, who often gather at the platform β making for truly unforgettable photos.

Skywalk Gibraltar: History & Significance
The Gibraltar Skywalk officially opened in 2018 and was inaugurated by actor Mark Hamill, famous for playing Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. The name "Skywalk" was inspired by this connection, and the platform was built to create a safe and modern panoramic viewpoint where visitors can experience the dramatic cliffs and landscapes of Gibraltar from above.
Positioned over 340 metres above sea level, the Skywalk provides visitors with incredible views across the Bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish coastline and the famous Strait of Gibraltar. On very clear days, you can see the Atlas Mountains of Morocco on the horizon β a truly extraordinary sight.
